DETAILS:
Vintage transitional 40's/early 50's tailored navy blue rayon faille suit jacket in a shorter length with great details:  v'd neckline with split collar that has back portion standing up and tiny notched, fold back lapels at the front; there are fabric flanges that angle from the shoulder area, echoing the v-neck, and meet asymmetrically at the front buttons; padded shoulders for shape; fabric covered dome button front; 3/4 length sleeves with a dolman shape and curvy turn-up cuffs; and a decorative attached, button accented, banded belt at back waist that accentuates a subtle, slightly ruffled, back peplum.  Unlined except for the peplum area.
FABRIC:  No label; definitely rayon that I believe is a faille fabric

LABELLED SIZE: No size, so please be sure to check the actual measurements for best fit.
MEASUREMENTS:  Bust is approx. 32"-34" with the seaming and dolman sleeve shape providing a little leeway;  Waist is 30"; Shoulders are 16 1/2";  Overall length is approx. 22 1/2" long from mid back neck to hem.
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition with no flaws noted.  Although I steamed this jacket, the collar lapels and cuffs could use a good pressing to keep them in place (the cuffs are still tacked into place; just need a little shaping).

Please note that most of the items I sell are vintage and have lived a previous life; therefore, items are not new and may show signs of minor/normal wear.  All defects are noted to the best of my ability, but on rare occasions I may miss a tiny flaw that would not be considered detrimental to a pre-owned vintage garment. Laundering or dry cleaning may be necessary and is always recommended due to unknown storage conditions.
