Introduced in July 1970, Ultrasuede was deemed the “Highest-End” Synthetic Leather. When Halston debuted this fabric in the Fall/Winter Haute-Couture collections in Paris it was a Huge Sensation in the Parisian Fashion World; and was Heralded as the New Material for Modern Fashion. This Luxurious, yet Easy-Care Sportwear propelled Halston to Legendary American Designer Status.
Quintessential Halston Ultrasuede Synthetic-Leather 3-Piece Skirt Suit, with Jacket, Self-Tie & Skirt, created in a Gorgeous Plumy-Purple Colorway. The Suit was the Epitome of Modern Sportswear Separates giving you the Versatility of using the Individual Pieces with other pieces from your Wardrobe to Create your Own Individual Style
The Mandarin-Collar Jacket is Button-front with Self-Tie and front Slash-style pockets. The Sleeves have an almost Raglan Cut with seam-detail down to the Tapered-Cuffs with 2 ¾” Opening and Button which allow you to Roll-up the sleeves.
The A-Line Style Skirt has a ¾” Narrow-banded waist-band with a slight gathering at the waist, Side-Zip, Hook & Bar Closure and Front-Seam Pockets. Both Pieces are Unlined and Machine Washable & Dryable.
True 1970’s Vintage, Original with the Made-in-USA ILGWU Union Tags still attached in both, Jacket and Skirt.

This Suit is in Excellent Preowned, Vintage Condition. This Suit is about 50 years old and the Original Self-Tie is still Tailor Tacked to the Jacket. The only Condition Items are Very Minor and Repairable:
(1) Jacket is missing stitching at the upper-left Corner of the Halston label
(2) Skirt has a Small Hole at the Seem in the Right-Side pocket. No missing of broken buttons, zipper works and the Hook & Bar Closure is still present.
There is No
color fade, pilling, snags, rips, holes or stains.
Garment(s) may have light lint, creases & fold marks, “hanger bumps,” rolled over neck and/or cuff trim and wrinkles from being stored. These can be fixed by cleaning and ironing. Garment(s) may have the smell of Bounce, Febreze or Sachets from storage.
