    Description

REDUCED. GENUINE ROARING 20S Beaded Blue -Green Peacock Evening Top & Flowing Vest Adjustable small to Large , See Through Silk Crepe, Heavily Beaded, Repair Available.  Pleated underdress from 60's is offered at .00 additional below.
This vintage 1920's evening set is in remarkably good condition with the black silk crepe holding up well under the weight of thousands of emerald green beads sewn onto the fabric. The tank style top has oversized arm holes. Only way it fastens is with snaps and hook and eyes at the right shoulder and more at the lower waist for closure., sparkling emerald green glass seed round beads are sewn in a vertical stripe pattern and tubular bugles turquoise glass beads accent the collar edge and the arm holes with a fold under raw edge to the silk at the waist. The A line vest has a smooth yoke and gathered fabric at the bust and shoulder areas, raw edges at the collar and the arm holes with a finished edge along the beaded bottom, bands of graduated horizontal stripes at the front change to triangular shaped designs at the rear with the designs completed in both the seed beads and the tubular glass beading.
The evening pieces have storage wrinkling, no color fade, there is no shatter pin dot sized separations in the silk, there are missing beads with the raw material edges as described above. Being offered as found.
Top: Chest: 14" of material across the front / 15" of material across the back - Shown on a 36" bust dress form
    Length: 19" Waist: 34"
Vest: Length: 27 1/2" from shoulder
The human model in pictures is a size three. Could also be worn as a Large size.
This is a beautiful Genuine heavily beaded thin dress about a 100 years old. Yes, the set has issues. Almost all raw edges need reinforced ( bias tape?) not to show ragged. It was handmade on flimsy crepe material before sizes were put on garment. The underneath tank top zippered shell does not have much give. The jacket & under pleated slip could be almost any size. Missing small not noticeable amounts of beads.
So there are 4 ways you could purchase this dress:
THIS LISTING.  1. AS IS. No guarantee, No refund. 5.00.. in need of repair.
    2. REPAIRED
All edged with matching iron on & sewed black bias tape on backs. Missing beads replaced. 5.00. For me to do the work involved, you would have to pay for it first. I would send you pictures, within the week, before mailing. If you don't like it, you would get a full refund before mailing. Once it is sent, refund is only available for 24 hours using tracking number. Due to past experiences, I cannot afford to have someone buy it, wear it for their special occasion & refund it.
Anyways, after repair it still will not be strong fabric, I suggest a second layer of nylon (which I have available with sleeves) or silk.
    3. If you would like the 1960's pleated underdress added at only .00 additional, no additional shipping just email me. Pleated under dress is 36" long, 40" around with a 3 inch hem above pleats. I am willing to remove the 3 inch hem I added, at no additional charge, if you would like. Model in pictures is 5' 2". Any further alteration would be charged.
