Description
RARE 1937 UNION PACIFIC WOODEN MODEL TRAIN PASSENGER CAR "CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO" NOB HILL SF-901. On the front of the train is a circle that says City of San Francisco and possibly the Makers mark in red that starts with "S". Train has several paint wear areas. All wheels are there. Outer cover has some bends, it seems to be made out of hard cardboard, not metal. Sticker missing between one set of the wheels (see picture 5 for the sticker I'm referring to). This is an old replica. Picture #11 is the actual passenger car.The Nob Hill SF-901 Streamliner was built in December 1937 as part of the 8th Train (COSF) and was stored from July 1942 to Feb. 1946 because operation of Observation cars was not essential to the war effort. It went to Union Pacific ownership in December 1948.
