is the
Glow GrandBox Bounce Focus Rod Arm.
By reversing the position of the flashhead to fill the interior of the parabolic bowl of the GrandBox Pro 16 super-reflector, the powerof focused beams pumps-up the output and becomes a custom illuminator. The rod's length is adjustable to allow control of the position of the light source inside the GrandBox Pro to use it as a focusable reflector softbox, producing a precisely concentrated beam, positioned to create a broad spread of light or any effect in between. Sliding the rod along the axis through the GrandBox, a range of user-controlled lighting possibilities are realized, with a perfect modification provided by the focus of illumination. Sharply focused light is harder, with defined shadows, more highlights, and with higher contrast. Unfocused light is softer, has a broader wash of spread, and much softer contrast and shadows.
The rod system plate replaces the 144mm mount adapter ring on the small rear opening of the GrandBox Pro 16. The mount adapter then moves to fit on the flashhead cage, to act as the mate for the monolight or strobe head. The 144mm adapter rings work with a varietyof strobe brands, to work with almost any existing flash using the appropriate adapter. An incorporated safety feature to counteractimbalance is the sliding balance pole. The position of the pole aids in assuring the stability of the GrandBox and the Bounce Focus Rod assembly. Industry standard 5/8" studs cap the light mount end of the rods. Two closed rings are located on the other end of therods to hook the optional counterweight sandbags to keep the structure confidently safe. All of the tilt functions generally used onyour flashhead are available on the stand adapter.
