"The Highbridge Mine includes several of the earliest locations made on the Highbridge Lode, one of the most regular and strongly marked ore-bearing veins yet discovered in Central Nevada. This lode was discovered in 1865, and through its fine exhibit of surface ores drew at once a large population into the district".
