    1814-1815  New York NY {{detail_product_description}}.01 cent note from the "York & Jersey Steam-Boat Ferry Co".  This note has been Graded by PMG as an 8 with a net on it due to splits that you can clearly see. The last time one was on e-bay was 4/16/15 and sold for 0.00 check it out it's a pretty rare note and R-6 in the Harris book.  This one according to the book would be an R-7 due to the date Oct 1 1815, as it is unlisted.  In 1812 Robert Fulton's York & Jersey Steam-Boat Ferry Co was known for transporting vehicles across the NY harbor .  The ferry was excellent due to the fact it had the double ender's to put the vehicles on and off the ferry at both ends of the ferry with out having to turn aroung saving considerable time.It was
    estimated that over 400 double ended ferries operated in the NY harbor during the 19th and 20th century. Peak years being 1906 through 1908.
