    1800's The Michigan Insurance Company note from Detroit, Michigan.
    This company was established in 1834 but did not begin issuing notes until 1838. In 1849 it converted from a chartered bank to a free bank and finally became the Michigan Insurance Bank in 1860.
    This note features a Vignette of a farm family above the title. On the bottom right is a portrait of Washington. The reverse has a nice orange design.
    This note grades Uncirculated with a couple printing wrinkles. On the obverse left is a minor mounting spot on the right is a small paper scuff.
